lunenburg is definitely my favourite town in nova scotia. it's your typical maritime town.
fishing, bright coloured houses, they even have a distillery here (ironworks)
and they make a delicious cranberry liqueur. AND it's home to the bluenose (the ship on our dime).

on this day, jordan, reid and i hung out by the waterfront and went to the fisherman's museum.
i really enjoyed the museum; it was 3 floors and you also had access to tour 2 fishing boats and
a touch tank! we explored the museum first, saw different types of fish, fishing boats, engines,
knots, traps, etc. my favourite part was the bluenose section, we sat there and watched a
documentary about her life as a racing ship. we then made our way to the fishing boats and
they were huge! i don't think the boat life would be for me (tiny beds and no room
for my clothes.. haha). props to those who spend months at a time out on sea, bringing us delicious
fish. lots of hard work, in not the best conditions. next we ventured off to the touch tank,
the boys weren't so interested but i had fun playing with sea urchins, starfish and angry scallops that
(are huge!) and snapped their shell down on my finger
(i got really scared and ended up dropping the thing... oops).

after some more touring around, we were hungry and stopped for little dinner in a restaurant that
looked like a hobbit house. it's called the knot pub. and is very hard to spot but so worth it if you
do find it. the prices are amazing and the food is comforting. we all had their caesar salad,
it's apparently what they are famous for and i definitely saw why. super garlic and creamy.
we had horrible breath but our bellies were happy :)
hope you all had a wonderful weekend,
shanice.
